Nicole Yackley is a poet and artist from GA. Her poetry has been published in Belletrist Magazine and Phoenix Literary Magazine among others, and adapted into a chamber piece that won the Constantinides New Music Ensemble Call for Scores and was performed at Carnegie Hall in 2022. She has a BA in English from UGA and an MFA in Poetry from UTK where she studied under Joy Harjo. More of her poetry can be found at whirlsofwords.tumblr.com.
Nicole is currently working on turning her MFA thesis about the Minotaur in the modern world into a libretto in partnership with Mikeila McQueston. The first half hour of the opera can be seen here, performed by VolOpera.
